April Favourites

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover - review // £4.99

This has made my life so much easier, as I used to get so frustrated with normal nail polish remover and cotton wool. I've been using it regularly and it still works just as good every time.

Collection 2000 Pump Up The Volume Mascara - review // £4.99

I've had this for a while, but only recently have I started using it again (trying to use up some products). I really love the intense volume it gives.

The Body Shop Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil - link // £7.00

No matter how much I grew my nails, the cuticles were always awful until I started using this. This tidies my cuticles and it has also strengthened my nails which was definitely needed as I used to always bite them and they would break very easily. It's very easy to use and perfect for travelling with.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - review // £11.99

This brush has definitely got my seal of approval and I will be buying more from the range. Even after washing them, it feels luxurious and leaves my foundation looking flawless.

Collection Blush Review

Collection (formerly Collection 2000) is a brand that I love. I find myself always browsing their little section in Boots, and occasionally I find myself buying a few things. One day, this blush caught my eye. I don't really have a large collection of blushes and it's only recently that I've started experimenting with different ones instead of just sticking to one or two.

I purchased Shade 02 which is called Bashful and it's a beautiful, natural colour which creates a lovely radiant glow which isn't too heavy, although it is buildable. I love that it is perfect for daytime wear and looks very natural. It also lasts all day, which is ideal as I hate reapplying make up. I believe there is a very fine shimmer, but it isn't noticeable on the skin - I think this just creates the radiance.

The pretty design on the blush disappears after a few uses, which was quite disappointing. However, I've learned not to expect these to last.

For just £2.99, you can't really go wrong - especially when there's a 3 for 2 offer.

What blushers would you recommend to add to my collection?

Collection 2000 Pump Up The Volume Mascara Review

I will try any mascara in the world. It is my most favourite beauty product, and also the one make up item I would take with me to a desert island. Everytime I see a mascara that sounds like my cup of tea, I tend to buy it. When it's on a deal, it's almost impossible for me to walk away (although I'll have to this month!) I bought Collection 2000's Pump Up The Volume Loud Lash Mascara for just £3.99. It is normally £4.99 which is still very cheap for a mascara.

As it was quite cheap, I honestly didn't have high expectations. The wand itself was a disappointment. As you can see, it is angled, which is my favourite, but it is also very big. Therefore, I found it really difficult to apply, especially towards the inner eye. There is no way you can do your bottom lashes with it either.

Having said that, it did add great volume and thickness to my lashes, which surprised me. It added more volume than a lot of other more expensive brushes I've tried in the past. If the brush was smaller, this would almost be perfect.
