Review | MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

MAC Mineralize Skinfish Natural has been a product on my wishlist ever since I started blogging. I'd constantly seen good reviews and wanted to try it out myself. I finally got round to purchasing it with this haul, and I have to say I wasn't let down.

The MUA at MAC explained to me that it adds a bit more coverage, and he recommends using it when you have a lot of foundation on and want a more natural look. This is my problem. My skin goes through really bad patches and I tend to layer on the concealer and foundation and powder in order to cover it up. However, I don't want it to look like I have layers of make up on, so after applying make up, I apply this with a powder brush.

I noticed a difference immediately. My skin looked more natural and less fake. It looked like I had a little bit of make up on and like I had good skin. I don't even need to apply much, so it will last a long time.

I will definitely repurchase this, it is now a permanent part of my every day make up routine. It costs £21.00 online - I have Medium Plus. :)

Review | MAC Select Moisturecover

If you saw my MAC haul then you'll know I had a few reviews coming up of the products that I purchased. The first review is going to be the Select Moisturecover.

I was recommended shade NW20 and at first I was unsure as I am normally a NW15 in foundation and you're normally meant to get a little lighter than your skin tone. However, I trusted his judgement and it looked okay. However, when I got home and tried it out myself, I realised it was way too dark for me. I can't wear it alone, and have to put foundation over the top, so to be honest I can't really give it a full review as the idea was to purchase this to brighten under my eyes and allow me to not wear foundation.

Other than that, I really do like it. It is quite a thick consistency, but doesn't clog my pores. It feels like on the skin, and provides a good coverage. I apply under my eyes and on any problem areas and then blend in using my fingers or using a concealer brush. The concealer tends to last very well too.

Would I repurchase? I'm not too sure. I think I would have to try NW15 in order to get a full idea of how it feels, but it does a very similar job to my Collection concealer (review coming soon), which is a fraction of the price - so maybe it isn't worth it.

Models Own Powder Duo Bronzer Review

I picked this up in Boots last week as I was on the lookout for a bronzer and this was reduced. I've always been a huge fan of Models Own polishes, but never really got on with their make up. I took the risk and purchased 'Natural Bronze' which is the lighter of the two shades available. The other is called Sun Goddess.

I love simple packaging, and so this is a beauty to me. My only worry is that the writing will wear off. That seems to happen with all of my products and I never get why!

The bronzer consists of two shades. One is slightly darker and can be used for conturing and the lighter shade for highlighting. I simply used a face brush across both colours and applied to my cheeks.

I also applied the darker shade to places where the 'sun hits'. I hate saying that as it sounds weird and a lot of people don't get it and say "but the sun hits all of your face?". You basically apply to the top of your forehead, nose and chin. It will leave you with a gorgeous healthy glow.

I love this bronzer. It is perfect for a natural day time look and you can build it up if you want to. It costs just £8, but I think it might be still on sale for £5.
