Seeing Red.

I'm not 'seeing red' I just couldn't think of another title for this NOTD. This is the only red nail polish I own as I always think it doesn't suit me. I'm not entirely sure why either but I thought I'd try it out.

I'd never heard of Ciate before and I still don't know how to pronounce it, but I think I got this free with Glossybox a while back? My memory is awful. Anyway, I looked on their website and it said this about Kitten Heel (the colour I am wearing):

'Long lasting full coverage nail enamel with a shimmering red that suits the festival season . Flawless painting made easier with optimum 250 bristle flat brush. Ergonomically designed to enable maximum control with a long handle and curved bottle to sit comfortably in your hand.'

I adored the look of the polish with the little bow but I didn't really like the shape of the bottle. I found it easy to apply and this is the only polish where I didn't struggle when applying using my right hand (I'm left handed). The colour is exactly how it looks in the photo however it is a little more shimmery in real life. I had to apply two coats as one was definitely not enough.

Would I repurchase? Not this colour, no. I'm not a fan of shimmer and I definitely think red doesn't look right on me. I also couldn't really justify spending £9 on a polish but if an amazing colour caught my eye, I'd consider it.

Review in one sentence: Full marks for easy coverage, just not my colour.

Take a peek at their website to view all colours available.

White Grape Range Review.

To me there's nothing better than a long relaxing bath surrounded by calming scents. It's even better when that scent lingers for hours afterwards in the form of a body butter or cream. Di Palomo, which I admit is a brand I'd never heard of before, have created a White Grape with Aloe range.

Both products came beautifully wrapped and I am a sucker for good packaging so I was instantly pleased. Whilst using the White Grape and Aloe Bath & Shower Cream, I wasn't exactly overwhelmed by the scent but it was there enough to enjoy it. It left my skin feeling really soft but I did need to use a few extra squirts of the cream in order for it to lather up enough.

Afterwards, I appled the White Grape and Aloe Body Butter which I was really excited about as we all know how much I love my body butters. As you can tell from the photo, it was really solid and I found it difficult to rub into my skin. At first it felt like more of a mask than a body butter. However, once applied, my skin felt great and there was no sticky residue which is something I thought may happen.

My experience with these products wasn't outstanding, however I will continue to use them and enjoy them as they do smell great. I do like the look of the candles in the White Grape collection and I am tempted to try them out.

The Shower cream costs £9 and the Body Butter costs £15. To view their website, click here.

Things I Love About Winter

The cold dark mornings in winter always seem to make me, and many of you, extremely down. It's so easy to hate winter, and spend the next few months counting down the days until Summer. So, I decided to do a post on the good things about winter (yes there are some!) and remind everyone why we should love it.

01. Beautiful views.

2. Wearing warm cosy socks.

3. Snuggling in bed when it's raining outside.

04. Winter accessories.

05. Christmas!

What are your favourite things about Winter?

Scrapbook Collection

For any of you who followed my old blog may remember me showing photos of my scrapbooks. I've added a lot more since then so I thought I'd do a post on this blog. For those of you who never saw that post, I bought two scrapbooks from Paperchase in order to fill them both up with cut outs from magazines. One would feature fashion and the other beauty. I love them both as I always found that I'd read amazing tips in magazines but then never remember them. So now they are all in one place!

I'd love to see if any of you have scrapbooks and what they look like. :)

PS I've updated my 101 Things page, as I've read a few books and I wore false eyelashes for the first time last night! Any tips on how to get them on properly would be a great help! It took me over half an hour and about 4 attempts to glue them on. Haha.

Blooboo.

A simple post from me today just to quickly show you my nails from last week. If you look through my nail polish collection, you will find an array of colours from browns to pink. The only colour I needed was something like this:

As you can see it is a beautfiul colour, a very pale light blue but with a slight 'aqua' feel to it. I wanted something a little more 'blue-green' but I am more than happy with this. It costs just £5 too which I believe is a truly justifiable price for a nail polish.

Hi There!

Remember me? I feel like I haven't blogged in forever, and I haven't been able to read any blogs either. I feel like I never have the time and I always promise myself to make time but it just never seems to happen. It doesn't help that in order to get internet in my room I have to literally hang off the edge of my bed and so I tend to not go on the laptop for long anymore. But, I've really really missed blogging and generally just chatting to everyone so even if I don't get time to read all the blogs I used to, I'm definitely going to talk on Twitter much much more. A lot has happened recently so I thought I'd kick start my blogging return with a little update on what's been happening.

- Thank you for all of your lovely comments on my anniversary post. I had the most amazing weekend and I love the fact that we've made it to 3 years.

- I've finally got myself on a course at the Open University. The finance is all sorted and I start on November 1st. I'm a little nervous but also very excited as I've always loved Business Studies (which is what I'll be studying)

- Most of you know that when I took my theory test I chose to not tell anyone the date as I was too scared. Well I've booked my driving test and rather than hide it I've decided to let everyone know it's on the 24th November. I feel confident about everything but parking! Any tips would be the best help ever!

- My giveaway is still up and running with a chance to win a little box full of goodies. Click the image on the side to enter. No harm in a free entry ay?

- However, if you're looking to spend some money, then please take a look at my blog sale. I'm desperate to get rid of it all.

Have a lovely week.
