NOTD | Juicy Jules

In a previous post, I talked about the false nails that I use. I thought I'd mention now that these are the nails that I have on in every NOTD post. I don't do many (although that may change!).

I did two coats of Nails Inc Denim which was free as part of their campaign with Diet Coke a while ago. They do these quite often so do keep an eye out because nails inc polishes are lovely, and although I would never pay £11 for one, I don't mind getting them on deals like that.

I then applied two coats of Juicy Jules. What I love most about this polish is that you can determnine yourself how much glitter you want. If you want something subtle, you can do one or two coats. If you want full on, in your face, glitter then keep applying coats until you get the amount you want.

Juicy Jules costs just £5, which I think is a pretty good price for the size. I don't think I'll be running out anytime soon.

Mint NOTD

Just a quick post today, showing you one of my new favourite nail polishes. Mint Green by Barry M is such an on trend colour and is perfect for summer. Barry M is one of my favourite nail polish brands and they actually have so many beautiful pastel colours for sale - I've got a few favourites. :)

Blooboo.

A simple post from me today just to quickly show you my nails from last week. If you look through my nail polish collection, you will find an array of colours from browns to pink. The only colour I needed was something like this:

As you can see it is a beautfiul colour, a very pale light blue but with a slight 'aqua' feel to it. I wanted something a little more 'blue-green' but I am more than happy with this. It costs just £5 too which I believe is a truly justifiable price for a nail polish.

Summer NOTD

I've been reading a lot about yellow nails on blogs and in magazines the past few weeks, and I let my lovely little brother choose a colour, and he said yellow (he's very on trend!). The only yellow I own is Barry M Yellow Ice Cream which I always believed to be a pale colour. However, as I needed three coats, it ended up being a lot brighter.

It is, however a gorgeous colour, and perfect for Summer. I'm always a fan of Barry M's nail polishes as they look great, last long and only cost £2.99.

Leopard Print Nails

Finally, a post on nail art. Ever since I started blogging, I've been mesmerised by the amazing skills of some of you bloggers out there when it comes to nail art. I promised myself I would at least try some kind of nail art and improve my skills. Those of you who followed my old blog would know I tried polka dots but this time I went a little further.

Leopard print nails are really simple to do. All you do is paint a base colour and leave to dry, then paint dots of another colour and leave to dry. Then using a black nail art pen, do two curved lines around each dot, then when it's dry, paint a clear top coat.

It is surprisingly easy to do, and you'd be surprised at what colours go well together. I had a fair few amount of oversized false nails, and decided to experiment.

Tips:

You could try using a cotton bud to create the dots (although just using nail polish is fine)

No nail art pen? Use black eyeliner or use a cocktail stick dipped in black nail polish.

First of all, I apologise for the messy application. I purchased these two a few weeks ago. The pink looked so bright and colourful - the sort of polish that would brighten up your day when you look at your nails.

I had been so excited for the release of Models Own smash up polishes. Most bloggers keep complaining about how every company is doing crackle polishes, but they all do normal polishes and no one complains about that? It adds variety, enjoy it! Models Own have an amazing array of colours coming soon, but for now it's just black and silver. As I already have Barry M Instant Nail Effects in Black, I purchased the Silver and I have to say, I love it.
